Because everyone's voice should be heard.

Rapid Prompting Method, also called RPM or Soma®RPM, is a communication and skill development tool for non-speaking autistic children and adults, and those with complex speech.

Autism On Point provides RPM services in Melbourne, and throughout Victoria and Australia. Sessions are individualised, and work with the student’s learning needs, interests and goals.

RPM Sessions: More Than Spelling

Autism On Point provides one-on-one sessions for children and adults. The practitioners share information and ask questions on an age-appropriate topic that the student is interested in. Alphabet stencil boards allow the student to spell out their responses through pointing.

But RPM is more than simply learning to spell. Sessions focus on age-appropriate knowledge and skill development, based on your (or your child’s) own goals and interests.

With Autism On Point’s individualised lesson plans and learning support, we work directly with you or your child on what’s most important for you. This keeps the sessions relevant and motivating, and encourages the student to grow in their purposeful communication and skill development.

Could RPM Work for You
or Your Child?

RPM is a method for non-speaking or complex speaking autistics, the techniques have been adapted for both children and adults with a range of complex and non-speaking speech behaviours.

Autism On Point’s services include one-on-one sessions, individualised lesson plans and phone or video support.

If you’re with the NDIS, RPM services could be funded through your plan if they align with your goals.

Who is Autism On Point?

Hi, I’m Liz Prountzos. I’m a Level 3 Soma®RPM practitioner, wife, mum, and founder of Autism On Point. RPM has been hugely valuable for me in my own family, and I’d be happy to work with you to see if it’s the right tool for you or your child.

  • “Liz has been an incredible RPM teacher for us. She has lived experience, working and training all around the world. She has a diverse set of students and is able to adapt her teaching techniques to whatever is needed for whoever she’s working with. She is a strong advocate in different situations when needed. She goes above and beyond what is required because it’s obvious this isn’t just a job for her, she cares and the families she works with feel that. She is a very precious member of our therapy team, arguably the most important member! We are so grateful for all the work she does with us.”

  • My son has been working with Liz from AutismOnPoint for nearly 4 years. Liz has helped my non-verbal son of 19 years who has autism to improve in many skills including, sitting at the table and pointing on the letterboard stencil and laminated board.

Liz has a very kind and reassuring presence as an RPM practitioner, and understands my sons sensory challenges and helps him build tolerance. My son can now spell sentences and share his thoughts. He recently wrote his school graduation speech and spells beautiful poems!

Rpm has helped him achieve his goal of helping people understand him. In his words ‘ Liz has helped me break free from my body’s prison’. I am grateful for Rpm because the insights that Soma teaches changed my understanding of who my son is.

Liz also provides training to our support workers and parents. I highly recommend Autism on Point and look forward to continuing using their services.

  • We have been doing RPM for 6-7 years. The journey has been not consistent. I, myself don't have enough confidence and quite often experienced lack of motivation.

Liz has made a big impact. Not only has she motivated me to keep continuing, but she has also been very active and involved with all RPM related things. She has shared a lot of information with me. Being a mom whose daughter is similar in age to my son has made our connection stronger.
